Southend School – Year 6 Montessori Class, June 2024
Using different senses, year 6 gently made their way to the middle of the bush. There they contemplated the billions of years of evolution involved in creating what is a wonderful example of riparian podocarp forest, alongside the Ruamāhanga awa just outside Martinborough. Nestled into a sunlit spot on the edge of the bush the children found different perspectives from which to convey their understanding of the life of the forest.
